1-Day Course Introduction - 6 hours

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.

Course Benefits

  The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide  first aid in voluntary and community activities. The course is also suitable for larger or higher risk companies or those managing construction projects / sites and business where higher training levels for first aid are required above and beyond Emergency First Aid at Work.   During this 1 day course, delegates will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.

Assessment method

Assessment will be by observation of the practical sessions and by completion of two small multi answer question papers.
