Safeguard Your People, Your Property, Your Reputation:
Fire safety management is not only a requirement under UK Fire Safety law, it is also vital in protecting lives, properties, businesses and the environment. The effects from fire to a business can be devastating and costly, significantly affecting reputation, insurance premiums, business continuity and profitability.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that the 'responsible person' must arrange a fire risk assessment and should make available a formal record of any significant findings and remedial measures which have, or may need to be, taken. Following recent review on the back of Grenfell, this now applies to all businesses regardless of number of employees.
If you’re responsible for a building or a premise, for example an employer, owner, landlord or occupier of premises that isn’t a 'single private dwelling' (a private home), you’ll need to make sure a suitably competent person completes a Fire Risk Assessment, and this is kept under review.
Fire Risk Assessments
The purpose of a fire risk assessment is to systematically identify all significant fire safety related hazards within the premises and evaluate how those hazards may adversely affect the building and its occupants. The process also identifies the level of risk that those significant hazards may present and also identify suitable control measures to enable compliance and assurance for the safety of employees / residents etc.

At PCF Training & Consultancy Solutions Ltd we like to build and create good working relationships with clients and work with you (not just for you) to identify any requirements and deliver a solution which meets your specific needs and budget.
Through validated statistics, it is recognised that deliberate fires (arson) represent the largest proportion of fires attended by the UK Fire & Rescue Service as a whole. Within our premises fire risk assessments we also consider the risk from arson.
Fire Safety Policies
A fire safety policy is a means of communicating standards and sets out the actions that are to be taken including ensuring that means of escape are available at all times, providing means of detection, warning and fighting fire and the provision of emergency evacuation procedures as well as information, instruction and training. We can help you to formulate an effective fire safety policy for your business.
